Deferred Members

Deferred members are former members of the Local Government Pension Scheme (LGPS) who have deferred their pension benefits until retirement age.

Deferred benefits are calculated on total membership and final pay to the date of leaving the LGPS. These benefits are increased annually in line with the retail price index. An annual benefit statement giving details of benefits will be issued to all deferred members.

Annual Benefit Statements 2007
9046 benefit statements were issued on the 14 November 2007 to deferred members of the Local Government Pension Scheme. 135 statements were issued to members living abroad with Australia still the most popular location. If you do not receive a statement then please get in touch with the Pensions Section.
