Fire Pensions
Aberdeen City Council Pension Fund administers the 1992 Firefighters Pension Scheme (FPS) and the 2006 New Firefighters Pension Scheme (NFPS) on behalf of Grampian Fire and Rescue Service. The arrangements under the FPS and NFPS offer a range of benefits, providing financial security both in the time up to retirement and beyond.
Please note, ACCPF only administers these Schemes for officers who serve(d) in Grampian Fire and Rescue Service or Grampian Fire Brigade – if you belong or have belonged to any other UK Fire and Rescue Service/Brigade, you should contact them directly for further information.
Benefit Statements
Benefit Statements will be issued annually to FPS and NFPS members. The annual Newsletter is available in the Fire Library and on request from the Pensions Section.
Increase Your Pension Benefits
How to Increase your Pension Benefits.
Pensions Increase
In order to ensure that your pension keeps pace with the cost of living, your pension is increased annually from the first Monday after 6 April. The rate of increase is set by the Government and is based on the rise in the Retail Price Index for the year to the previous September.
